Wake Up aka The 6AM Club
Wake Up is a gentle class to get the body moving. Moving a little slower at times & gentle class. You must be able to get up and down off the floor with no assistance for flow movements.
Please consult with Ruth to find that perfect class for your life.
Gentle Vinyasa 1 & 2 / Vinyasa 60 / Sunrise Vinyasa
Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling.
Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow.
The gentle vinyasa breaks down the class and takes it at a much slower pace.
Gentle Vinyasa 1 is a slightly zesty gentle vinyasa and gentle vinyasa 2 is a very gentle vinyasa class.
This makes is a great class for beginners while the Vinyasa 60 class is also mixed levels
and for those who might want some cardio in their practice.
Sunrise Vinyasa IS not gentle.
This class will challenge you .
We explore more flow and do harder postures.
Wall Yin / Yin & Yang / Stretch & Restore
Yin accesses the deeper tissues such as the connective tissue and fascia and many of the postures
focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine).
Postures are held 3-5 minutes. Props are used.
Stretch & Restore is a combination of restorative & yin.
We use lots of props: blankets, bolsters, chairs, the wall and blocks.
This is a very gentle class in the yin series, soothing to the body, mind & soul.
Yin is slower, deeper stretching /Yang is movement.
A Vinyasa flow will be added.
Yin & Yang - This class combines movement with holding postures.
Wall Yin is where we use the wall as a prop and you are laying on your back for class.
Gentle Hatha 1 & 2 / Hatha
Gentle Hatha is a basic hatha class, while Hatha is all levels.
With ha meaning "sun" and tha meaning "moon," Hatha Yoga is commonly translated as the yoga that brings
union "of the pairs of opposites." Sometimes Hatha Yoga is also translated as the "forceful yoga", because it requires a lot of physical effort.
In the Hatha classes we hold the poses a little longer (3-5 breaths) giving you a chance to really get into the pose.
The gentle hatha class is taken at a more slower pace and is great for beginners.
Gentle Hatha 1 is a slightly zestier class, it has small challenging elements to it (always optional)
Gentle Hatha 2 is very gentle.
Both gentle classes we hold approx. 1-2 breaths.
Chair yoga is a general term for practices that modify yoga poses so that they can be done while seated in a chair.
These modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions.
is for SEASONED Yogi's ONLY (of senior age).
The class moves slower, enabling you to get into the poses with more modifications and encouragement of props.
You do go up and down off of the floor.
Inhale Yoga does not have a specific class for prenatal.
Prenatal is included in the 11AM Gentle Hatha 2 or Gentle Vinyasa 2 class times.
Monday, Thursday, Friday at 11:00AM. The Sunday Stretch & Restore is at 9:00AM
PLEASE ALWAYS notify the teacher you are pregnant or if you have restrictions.
ALL CLASSES BEGIN ON TIME BY THE WORLD CLOCK.
