Ruth Ann Dunkerly, C-IAYT, NACYT
My journey began with an at home practice in 1999. As my love for it grew, I took my practice to a local yoga studio.
In 2003, I became a Reiki Master, attuned to many forms of energy. During this time I began exploring meditation and was certified in meditation (2006) from Divine Energy and also started teaching/attuning others to Reiki.
Creating a full fitness center with a yoga and meditation room at my former employer (2007), is where I taught classes for 2 years.
In 2010, I began school and became a Naturopath (2011) from the Sandy Hill Institute of Naturopathy. I received a Bachelor of Natural Healing (Summa Cum Laude)
In September 2013, I enrolled in a 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Program with Adho Muhka Yoga / Aryn Stary Youngless and was certified, February 1, 2014. I became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church, Modesto, CA in 2013. In November of 2013, I began substitute teaching at a local studio in Chester, Virginia while I was going to school and became a permanent teacher in January 2014. I became the studio manager in October 2014 until mid-February 2015, the studio closed and I taught the last class March 31, 2015.
The birth of Inhale Yoga was soon created and the doors opened to Inhale Yoga LLC on June 13, 2015.
I am member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (Member # 42075329) and became a certified yoga therapist, October 2016, a member of the Reiki Healing Association, a member of the National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers (Member #5212), a member of the National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers. Ruth is CPR/AED Certified.
I teach many forms of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle, Chair, Yin, Restorative, Meditation and Power Yoga.
My education is continuous in the fields of meditation, yoga and Reiki.
I have 5000+ teaching hours and have been teaching for 15+ years.
