New Years Day


Happy New Year!

Welcome 2019!

The time just flew for me this year professionally and personally.

It's hard to believe we are in the new year already.

I'm not one for looking back and wishing I did this or that, but I like to reflect.

We all have those great days, good days and then some bad days.

It's life.

We either get a life lesson or a blessing.

But who is to say that a life lesson isn't a blessing?

There are so many new faces entering my life and I LOVE IT!

I get to know each of you even if it's for just one class.

Most of you know I love teaching yoga.

I swear I dream of yoga classes and wake up feeling so happy to go teach my dream.

What is your dream?

Have you begun to take the steps in fulfilling it?

Planning, writing it out are you first steps.

Can you resolve to make a better you?

Take baby steps but keep taking steps.

This is how we build momentum in going forward in life...one step at a time.

Want more friends in your life?

Maybe begin talking to the person next to you in class.

We have a coffee shop doors down and meet for coffee before or after class.

Exchange emails.

Bring more of what you long for into your life.

As we know, hours turn into days and days turn into weeks and so on and before you know it, it's the end of another year.

Time to begin.

Taking care of your Self not only physically but mentally.

Learn to meditate, find peace in sitting at a local park or lake.

Take a sketch pad to draw or a book to read begin to break out of a shell, until we start to crack the shell we are still not able to get that start. (learning to sit in silence is a practice)

It has been said, you should be able to meditate or sit in silence in the most busiest place and it not bother you.

As the days pass and turn into months, we can lose that drive we have today. Set reminders on your cell phones, tablets or computers to remind us of our goals.

Give your Self a reward maybe as you reach that half way mark.

In 6 months where do you see yourself?

Can you say you have begun to move ahead?

We don't know until we get there but let's try this year differently.

Find a buddy and you both can help eachother out.

You can only be accountable for Self.

This year, take hold of your health and well being.

The journey is continuing on when the weather gets nicer

or 5-6 months into the year and you are feeling like, ' I got this far - ok I stop'

or I'm getting to busy. We will find excuses not to do what we need to do for our health and wellbeing

It's going all the way this year to the end of the year and saying 'I did it!'

12 months.

You can do it!

You can be the change you want to be, I have no doubt in my mind.

If I can walk away from a full time paid job with all the benefits to open and operate a full time yoga studio, you can too.

We are all in this together.

I am so glad I took that leap of faith years ago.

I don't ever look back and say what if.

Life can be scary, like walking in the door to take your very first yoga class.

You have some seasoned yogi's in the room, but what you don't know is how many are also new at yoga.

Many join each day to try this little thing we call yoga to bring balance, clarity and focus to our lives again.

Every one has their first day.

We all have stories of our first days, weeks and months in our practice.

Its the journey of our practice and not being perfect.

It's learning to allow, breathe and move forward in our practice which flows into our lives.

Share the gift of yoga/health with others.

Everyone can do yoga, but some might need private classes.

Group classes are not for everyone due to health reasons.

Private classes are available.

I wish all of you a healthy, wealthy and bountiful 2019!
