August Newsletter/Blog & Next Year

I'm going to get next years announcement out of the way.

Hubby & I have never taken a weeks vacation since our honeymoon in 1991.

Yep, that's right.

I'm giving you a (1) years notice.....We're going to try to take a week to 10 days off in 2022.

We've NEVER done this.

Heck, we're not getting any younger and so we're thinking about trying to make this work.

I will remind everyone as the time gets closer.

I will give you PLENTY of notice.

(Audio Classes will still be available)

We're hoping everything in this world turns out and we're taking it in stages right now.

As we all know, making plans during COVID has proven to be interesting.

I'll keep you posted.

Wow, it's already August!

Yet again this year is flying by.

I've been asked about the Delta Variant.

Until the Governor makes an announcement, I know as much as you do.

If we go back to how it was: I will implement temp. checks and masks upon entering.

I NEED to follow the Gov. & Counties mandates to remain open as a business.

PLEASE don't argue/challenge me, I'm doing what I need to do to open and have classes safely.

We will continue to be socially distant in class (before and after class), air purifier going 24/7, hand sanitizing stations, alcohol wipes provided (as long as there is no shortage again) and masks are always optional as we practice provided the Governor doesn't change our regulations for indoor exercise. (whatever is recommended for me to do)

One day at a time.

The water fountains will remain closed until further notice.

PLEASE bring YOUR OWN water in a spill proof, shatterproof container.

I do not provide water at this time.

SORRY folks.

The schedule is done one week in advance.

I open registration either Tuesday or Wednesday the week prior.

Private class day is Wednesday.

If I have no one taking any private classes that day, I will put classes up.

Private classes can be fit in between other classes BUT please contact me prior.

Sometimes, I'll have a private class and forget to place it on the public calendar.

Some time slots will not be available due to the cleaning of the studio.

Class times can vary from week to week.

I'm trying hard to have all of your favorite classes on the schedule.

Some old classes prior to COVID might not come back.

One day at a time.

How to Make the Best Grilled Vegetables

Want to make perfectly charred, super flavorful grilled vegetables? Check out these tips before you fire up the grill:

  1. Cut everything to a similar size to ensure even cooking. Plus, you’ll be able to get multiple vegetables (aka more flavor) into each bite!

  2. Use metal skewers. Wood skewers burn easily on the grill!

  3. Flip halfway. This one may seem obvious, but it’s important. Good grilled vegetables have a little char on all sides, so make sure you rotate your skewers halfway through cooking. We usually grill ours for around 8 minutes per side.

  4. Season before and after cooking. To give my grilled vegetables maximum flavor, I season them with olive oil, salt, and pepper before I put them on the grill. Afterwards, I season with salt and pepper to taste and drizzle them with a tasty dressing, sprinkle them with fresh herbs, and serve them with a sauce for dipping.

  5. Don’t skip the sauce. Grilled veggies are good on their own, but a flavorful sauce can take them over the top. See below for my best suggestions
