You only are free when you realize you belong no place...

“You only are free when you realize you belong no place — you belong every place — no place at all.”

Maya Angelou, Conversations with Maya Angelou

You realize at some point that fitting in makes YOU change while

belonging means you are accepted as you are and welcomed in.

Are you wanting to fit in?

Are you wanting to belong?

Think about that for a moment.

Fitting in means you change how YOU are to mold your self into fitting into a group. Do you want to change?

Is THAT worth it?

You change who you are to be 'accepted' by others.

Why can't you just be accepted as you are?

Is it the yearning to be accepted?

That tribe looks different, the Belonging Tribe, as well as it should.

It takes everyone as they are.

No one marches to any certain drum.

Everyone is accepted.

I've heard some say, it's the Land of Misfit Toys.

The rejections.

Well, I don't know about that.

Everyone is worthy of a good life, everyone is good enough to have anyone as a friend.

So what makes us feel we are not good enough?

Think about that.

Do you accept who you are?

Families will also reject family members based on looks, life choices and non-conformity.

It can bring riff's with blood relatives.

They can say they can accept others from the outside but when it comes right down to it, you might not really be accepted at all.

It's superficial.

We are the Gifts of Imperfection.

Be who you are meant to be.
